Second time I have used Halfords Autocentre Redhill. Extremely pleased with the efficiency, politeness and helpfulness of staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Competitively priced for works carried out and simple easy to book on line system for servicing/MOT etc.

Professional and friendly staff who took the time to explain how the MOT and service operates at that branch. Also took the time to explain work done and not in a condescending manner which is very important to me as you hear others say females tend to experience this at garages. Have used various Halfords for years and will continue to do so as really happy with their customer service.

Fast and friendly service, explained the differing options/costs available and timings involved as well as sending a detailed invoice promptly. Took payment over the phone so I could drop off and collect in less than 5 minutes. All 4 tyres changed, fuel filters, brakes, discs, the works and all in 24 hours. Kept the car overnight so I could collect at my leisure. Very accommodating and flexible service. 5 stars.

I have a 2005 Ford Fusion, which was due a service and MOT. Had £500 work done (brakes etc). 1 week later, the car lost power and I discovered that the spark plugs had rusted into the cylinder and the car is essentially useless. It seems that the 7 thousand point check does not involve checking the spark plugs. Roadside recovery managed to dry the spark plugs and I got power back, but the car is useless. Halfords offered me a £60 refund (cost of mechanic to dry the plugs), but naturally I still haven’t received these funds. Don’t go to these guys if you have an older car for service, as they will charge you for whatever they can for MOT, but won’t actually ensure that there aren’t any critical failures. Very disappointing indeed! Update***** Phoned back to ask about my refund, more apologies from Andy who took my card details and said that it would “definitely go through this time” (I won’t hold my breath). And, for those of you who believe that Sophie is a real individual concerned about customers, think again, unsurprisingly it is just a generic number with auto-pickup. If this company really gave a toss about the customers, they would contact you through the local Center. My car finally gave up the ghost - thanks Halfords!

Very poor customer service, which is typical for these types of businesses. I booked via a 3rd party website so only had a face to face experience. I certainly wouldn't use them again based on customer experience. The product itself was good, but it's a tyre, so not much that can go wrong. Unfortunately the garage didn't have to time or ability to balance the wheels after fitting which I found bemusing.
