My wife's TB was showing signs of lameness and, on recommendation from the farrier, we sought the advice of DTEC: first a vet visit to Red at our stables, then a consultation at DTEC itself. After exercising Red in the manège, Peter homed-in on the possible problem and X-rays were taken at the suspected sources of the problem - these confirmed the likely diagnosis and DTEC was able to discuss Red's needs in detail with the farrier, give advice to us and prescribe medication for Red. It was very re-assuring for Red to be in such competent hands and have an expert get to the cause of the problem quickly rather than have a less specialised vet take a more long-winded approach to get to the same diagnosis (potentially at greater cost and more distress to our horse). Red has separation anxiety but it was not a problem for his stable-mate to be accommodated by DTEC whilst he was seen. All members of the team were courteous, friendly, professional and obviously had significant experience and confidence with horses without making a big thing about it - our horse was offered the level of care and respect that he receives from us and he obviously felt safe in their hands. After the consultation, we had a detailed discussion about the possible treatments and which would be best for the horse and received the x-rays and summary via e-mail (again, this was useful for the farrier). At all times, the focus was on the horse; what were real worries for us were assuaged by professionalism, experience and expertise. Obviously, we hope not to need their services in the future but if either of our horses have issues, DTEC will be our first port of call - thank you.

Absolutely amazing!! Very professional, personal & understanding throughout my experience Sadly i made a decision to have my 32 year old pony put to sleep.
