H. Samuel

I purchased a watch (actual value £399) in one of H Samuel's stores a.nd it was faulty. A trip to the Redhill store and apologies on behalf of H Samuel were immediately given. I was treated with such courtesy and humour by staff that I felt I mattered to them. The staff in the Redhill store are shining examples of how to treat customers. My new watch works and I am happy. Would I recommend this store? Most certainly!

What can I say. Gold is gold. Older gold is better. Far better quality than today's tin junk. As a jewellers it's OK but for me, I buy old gold so personally I wouldn't use the store but its OK for what it is

Manager is very rude and lazy which is a shame as the other staff seem nice. Other stores have great customer service but not here. Avoid this place.

If you’re going to visit H.Samuels steer clear of the Redhill branch! I was due a refund after being overcharged for a ring that I had purchased so I went in before Christmas to get the refund. I was told they couldn’t do it that day however they took all of my details, receipt number and order number and assured me I would be getting a call to rectify the problem the first week of January at the latest. I then called them as I didn’t hear anything almost a month later and the very blunt, rude and arrogant “Manager” Karen told me she would not be refunding me and that it was my fault that I didn’t come into the store sooner either though I was promised a phone call. I was disgusted with the service and expressed how disappointed as she said there is nothing I can do at all. After one phone call to customer service and complaints they assured me that I was due the refund and it would be paid and they can’t see any reason why the Redhill manager was refusing. The Redhill store then refused to take any of my calls and completely ignored me so I went into the Crawley branch where all of the staff were so helpful and efficient and dealt with the issue within minutes. If you ever go to H.Samuels make sure it’s the Crawley store and not this shambolic excuse for a store. - I don’t normally do negative reviews but I don’t like being lied to and mistreated and then try and be told it’s my own fault.

I popped into Hill Samuel for small batteries for my wife’s 2 little clocks. The staff member was helpful, and supplied the batteries, and charged me £10 each. I later found out that I could buy them online for 5% of the price, eg 10 for £5. I didn’t ask them to be fitted, so this was a ridiculous price. And high street shops wonder why they’re going out of business.
