Absolutely awful service received so far. Was initially told to expect a call from my assigned solicitor within a day or two. After trying to contact them daily for weeks, I am now considering withdrawing my instruction and going with a more responsive firm. How is it that Convey can reply to negative Google reviews within 24 hours but cannot provide any sort of support line to their paying customers?

Would have been four stars but I found out over four months after completion that they had not sent the forms to the Land Registry, so, at least as far as the public and institutions were concerned, we were not the legal owners of the house. When I asked about it, I was told that this was due to a "backlog" and the papers would be sent. Sorry, I don't believe you and am left wondering what might have happened if I hadn't just randomly thought to check. Their much cited "complaints procedure" is a joke. Basically, there is no complaints procedure. If you're lucky you'll get a desultory email back from someone, but no apology and no explanation. So you might as well just ping them a few emails and then go to the ombudsman. I paid for a copy of the Registry documents which haven't received and I paid for the Land Registry to be informed which was only done when I discovered the negligence. It's a shame really as our conveyancer was very helpful and professional and can't be faulted. But based on my experience after they had taken my money I would never use them again. UPDATE 06/03/2018 In response to Convey Law: I did complain to you, and had almost zero response except for a copy of the Land Registry docs. (you know, the one that was over four months late?), but not the plan, which was the most important part. And you cannot be defamed by the truth. Though if you feel that you have been harmed by my exercising my right to free speech, you can get all my contact details from your case file NOR109-1 and take me to court. Otherwise, if you really want to sort this out you can contact me to discuss further in a civilized manner. I await your response. Update September 2020 - needless to say, I never got a response! But they did charge us nearly 200 pounds to give us back the balance of 400 pounds they were holding for us. Make what you want of that. Be warned.

Sophie was amazing. She was friendly, accessible and reliable. There were some unforeseen delays on the sellers side but Sophie pushed for exchange as quickly as could be possible. She went out of her way for me at every step of the way. Communication was excellent - I was constantly kept up to date throughout. A lot of hard work and effort went into this exchange which is very much appreciated! I would definitely recommend Sophie Wheaton as a solicitor and convey law to any friends and family. Thank you all very much - a happy customer!

The absolute worst experience. Our first solicitor left the firm about a week after we instructed them. Our second solicitor went on holidays for 3 weeks shortly after and our case was apparently being managed by someone who we are pretty certain didn’t exist. No one responded to our phone calls or emails and Convey Law made our experience of buying our first home way more stressful than it already was

I'm not sure what they won an award in but it was not customer service. Nobody talked to me about what I wanted. I was a work package and that's what I got regardless of my actual requirements. Cost-wise very attractive initially but, a bit like Ryanair, by the time you add on the 'extras' (or more accurately the 'must-haves') it was far from competitive. They should try and join the rest of us in the 21st Century. I should not have to wait 2 days for a response to an email. I would not recommend to anyone. Pedestrian, ineffectual and expensive.
