The dull, concrete colours that makes the interior of this car park contrast beautifully against the yellowness of the lines and directions. The smell of urine is a reminder that you have both left and returned through the correct stairwell but also serves as a reminder that other creatures inhabit the grey block after dark.
Relatively inexpensive, unless you want to stay for less than minimum 3 hour charge. No set-down of free 30min parking and is not well lit.
When we last visited, only one machine was accepting card payments.
Train station is not well sign posted from the exit.
Easy parking in the town centre
Overnight parking by the train station. Great. No obviously visible signs that the car park is actually closed on Sundays. Here we are – three cars rowed up, waiting for the barrier to be let down by the emergency team. Well planned out!!
Filthy... also minimum charge of £3.50. Doesn't give you this clearly on way in. No wonder Newport is dying... cwmbran just up road has better shops and free parking. Do not park here
