This place has been around for ages and has worked hard to earn the reputation they are known for. Small family run business. Excellent service, great staff, knowledgeable mechanics, take pride in what they do and most importantly of all they respect the customers and don't over charge or rip you off. If anything they could get away with charging a bit more and people would still be happy to pay, but Alan has morals and just isn't that way inclined. Took my car in for the mot last week. First off, how many places can you get an mot for only £30 these days? Not very many, but here you can. I needed a couple of bits doing so I booked it in for a few days later, was quoted £70/£80 for the job. Took it in today, they did the work and also a bit extra, replaced a couple of bulbs that needed doing but I hadn't thought to ask about. Went to pick it up and pay a couple of hours later, expecting to pay around £100 from what I'd been quoted and the other extra bits. Asked how much, £76 was the grand total! Couldn't believe it!! And the nicest thing about it was that as I was expecting to pay more, I gave him £80 and told him not to worry about the couple of quid change and his modest reaction really made my day. He clearly didn't expect anything more than what he was charging, which was refreshing in itself. But not only that, he genuinely appreciated that small gesture for what it was intended, as a small token of gratitude for all the work he has put in, day in, day out, year after year, resulting in the successful business he has today. Where people like myself, who don't have a lot of knowledge about cars, can go with confidence and be treated fairly. How anyone can not adore this man is beyond me. I would recommend him every time and I hope he has many more successful years ahead of him.

Used regularly for MOT'S, but also used for engine diagnostics. Extremely helpful and genuine team. For specialist work they couldn't do, they took time to give me names/numbers of others that could help.
