Had the misfortune to visit there Wednesday last. Shocking ignorance of social distancing. I was brushed past on three separate occasions by staff members. One that leaned across me to retrieve an empty box, and two that were faffing around with my screen at self service, both joining me in the partitioned cubicle at one point. Not to mention the two planks that were chatting away in the middle of aisle near the veg racks forcing people to have to pass within 2 meters to get by. Its simple, train your staff and make sure they apply the training. Your customers safety is YOUR responsibility, ACT ACCORDINGLY.

It's big! Choice is huge especially fruit and vegetables, massive car park with plenty of disabled bays, a good cafe, toilets aren't very big but are usually well looked after. One thing missing is a charge point for electric cars, which talking of cars Asda has an excellent filling station and shop and a well set up car wash facility.

Lovely experience, very friendly staff. Easy to navigate in store, easy labelled aisles

The service in the cafe is extremely slow. The vegetarian breakfast was appalling, 2 sausages, one hash brown, one egg, but mainly a load of beans. We didn't get toast. But they only burn it anyway as I saw them do it for someone else. We got charged for an extra one breakfast, but because the queue was so long and social distancing, we couldnt go to the counter and complain and get the money back for the overcharge.

Terrible customer service experience. This happened in October 2020, but I've waited to review as I'd hoped for some resolution. Drove into Asda car park and stepped into a huge puddle of bright blue paint! Not what you'd expect! Grabbed baby wipes from the boot. The paint was all over my shoes, the front tyre of the car and now all over my hands/nails. Also realised it was also splashing up onto my jeans, my coat and the cars paintwork. Husband went to talk to the trolley collectors to let them know so it didn't happen to anyone else. Spoke to the members of staff directly opposite us on the next row down in clear view of what was happening. My husband was told that they "were aware", "they knew" and "to be careful". This advice seemed a little late to say the least! No help offered to clean anything - not even a bucket of water or paper towels! Contacted online customer service team. Reply said that I would need to return to the store and complete an ‘accident form’ and speak to the manager, to discuss financial compensation. Pointless and unnecessary (in the current climate) trip to Customer Service desk was made to discuss the matter. Not offered an accident form to complete and told I should have done this on the day. At no point did anyone tell me that this was what I needed to do. I explained I'd thrown the shoes away as they were ruined and was told I should fish them out the bin and bring them in! (Even though I showed clear photos I had of the damage and the paint was still in the car park (albeit with cones now around it - finally!). Wrote to the manager of the store about the matter and received no reply at all. Very disappointed that the only advice given in the situation was to buy new items, then bring them in to get money back (how does that benefit me financially for the inconvenience of having paint all over me and my car or the items I had to throw away?) Left disappointed in the whole customer service experience. No offer of help from anyone at the time and no help from Customer Services or the manager afterwards. This used to be our regular supermarket (and the brand as a whole for online shopping too), but haven't been back since and will not use their online services again either.
