Nice looking place but BE ADVISED if booking a full size coach (49/53 seater) you won't get outside church and will have to walk 1/3 of a mile (10mins walk) from drop off/pick up point .A 28/33 seater midi coach will get outside church .

The Church of St Rhidian and St Illtyd in Llanrhidian was founded by Rhidian in the 6th century, according to legend. On those ancient Celtic foundations stands the current church, dated to the 14th century. The nave, however was largely rebuilt in the middle of 19th century. The church boasts one of the tallest towers in the Gower, with a platform on which beacons were lit to warn villagers of attack from land or sea. Unearthed in 1880 is a significant historical find that now resides in the porch. Featuring stylised figures of humans and animals, the large piece of carved stone is thought to be a leper stone from the 9th century.

St Thomas Way (08/27/2018)
This village in the beautiful Gower peninsula – Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – was William Cragh’s birthplace and home to his father, Rhys ap Gwilym, and mother, Swannith. William Cragh was 'The Hanged Man', the central figure in the miracle story of St Thomas Way - a heritage route from Swansea to Hereford inspired by a real medieval pilgrimage. It launched in July 2018. Llanrhidian is around 12 miles or a 30-minute drive from Swansea. Explore the 13th-century church and the salt marshes leading down to the Loughor estuary.

One of the numerous and amazing ancient churches on Gower, well worth a trip around a few of them if you are down this way.
