We had to move a booking due to member of the family who was shielding and cannot thank the staff enough for all their help and support. I totally appreciate the issues that Pandemic has had on a business like this and how difficult the past few months have been for them but the staff were fantastic throughout super professional. Booked a property for my family to have an all important, safe, first visit post lock down so kids can see their grandma etc, Home from Home have just emailed, a few days before arrival, to say we cant get into the property until 7pm on the first day that we're paying for! When have you ever been given a check in time that wasn't until 7pm and not told about it until the last minute?! This essentially means we're paying for a day in the property that we cant use and that we'll have the joy of trying to get kids into a property, fed, settled in and to bed when we weren't able to check in until 7pm! I understand that post lock down world is tricky and means longer times to clean but passing the cost of that on to families, taking a payment for a day they cant use the property, telling us at the last minute oh and then when emailed about it getting a bounceback saying 'we dont monitor this email inbox' is very uncool.

Home from Home came highly recommended to me by family members who have used their services for a number of years. On this occasion I sadly encountered a problem relating to the third party cleaning company. Home from Home (Owen specifically) have done all that can be done to rectify the issue and ensure that the matter is resolved to my satisfaction. Sometimes things go wrong and it is on these occasions that you find out whether a company can truly fulfil their Customer Service claims. In this instance they have. The 3* is therefore reflective of a 5* rating for Customer Service offset by the problems created by the third party company. My problem was very much specific to the cottage itself and I would anticipate that this was an unusual situation for them. If I was rating the Mumbles team (and Owen himself) it would be 5*. Such a shame they have been let down. I note that some people mention they are encountering problems in contacting Home from Home - I used the email address and was phoned back within a few hours on a Sunday - which surprised and impressed me.
