I went for a meal with friends here on Friday and I have mixed feelings about the place. As a veggie it was lovely to see a menu that I could have anything from. Both my other veggie friend and myself were spoilt for choice. When the food arrived it was beautifully presented, it was clear love and care had gone into making our meals. However, mine was stone cold. When I mentioned it I was told that people like meals at different temperatures and it's hard to please everyone, but I feel few would like green beans that were literally cold. It may have not helped that it was served on a wooden chopping board which probably didn't hold the heat very well. I also felt that more herbs and spices could have been used as it was lacking in flavour. I had the Pasta al Fredo that said it had vegan bacon pieces in it, I couldn't taste it at all. One thing I will say is; I have no idea where they bought their tomatoes but they were the best I have ever taken, they were a true delight!!! Who knew a tomato could taste so good! The service was friendly and very attentive. If the food had been at a reasonable temperature it would have been a lovely meal. I got to try vegan cheese and was very impressed and the pudding was fantastic. I would go again, but would be sure to ask them to make sure the food was hot.
