Golden Cross Holiday Park

If you want a nice relaxing secluded retreat. Look. Elsewhere, there was no one on reception upon our revised check-in time at 5pm. No one to answer the phone to speak to us. Only thanks to another lodger on site did we know that the lodge would be left open to find ourselves. This happened to the people who arrived the day after us aswell. No one to advise us of when the hot tub would be checked or any other expected maintenance. The lodges are very very close together so if you wanted seclusion that's definitely not going to happen. If you just want a base then the lodge is well stocked, clean, comfy, warm and cosy and great for a family of 4. The hot tub is hot as you'd expect and the kids enjoyed it. I wouldnt go back though, it. definitely doesn't tick my boxes.

a fantastic 5 nights away with my husband and son. Lodge was amazing and brilliantly clean and the hot tub was so nice. Will definitely be returning.

Went for my wife's birthday, had a great time and the apartments where we'll equipped. Would go again.

The caravan was spacious but dirty even though we were told we can not check in until 5pm on the day of our arrival due to cleaning taking place?!? Spiders everywhere! The hot tub was dirty full of sand and debris,yellow stuff around the edges. A guy kept coming everyday to clean debris fallen from the trees and put chemicals which made the dirty water stink yukkie. There was not enough utilities for the asking price no washing machine, nor vacuum cleaner. Kitchen cutlery was scarce and not enough for comfortable exploitation only four forks,spoons,knives,cups. Dishwasher in place but a bit pointless with so little cutlery and dishes. Kitchen worktops were sticky and stained from previous holidaymakers, crumbs at the edges of worktops, dining table ,on the floor and most disgustingly on the sofa. Had to clean and wipe everything ourselves with antibacterial wipes before we touch anything. Wiped clean all floors and surfaces but as there was no vacuum cleaner could not hoover the hair and debris of previous holidaymakers from the carpets in the bedrooms. Left the place in exactly the same state we found it as advised.
