I went in for a last minute online booking. I was welcomed by a friendly agent who was very polite and welcoming. We had a corsa booked and she offered us a upgrade at a really great price with no pressure at all to do it. I had to drive to Cornwall, it’s a long way and a Mercedes is far more comfortable. I would like to thank the lady and the chap outside who was so friendly and and kind to us, it was so refreshing have great customer service at a personal level. At a time when my partner and I really needed it these guys made us feel so welcomed and looked after. Thank you.

Avoid the city airport branch if you can. We experienced massive delays - nearly 3 hours wait outside to pick up the vehicle. To make it worse, they didn't have the type of vehicle we booked. We needed a compact car to drive to the Lake District, but in the end got a 7-seater for just the 2 of us, which has made it a lot more stressful to drive on the narrow countryside roads and also in a few instances couldn't find a parking space as our car was too long. You'd want a smooth start of your holiday right but it was the exact opposite with the City Airport branch. They need more staff and more vehicles! Anyway, very bad experience and avoid if you can!

Would not recommend at all if you are looking for an easy ride both in terms of the booking and collection situation and the car itself. My friend and I turned up to find our car was not there and that no other similar cars were available. Following this, we said we would be willing to pay an additional cost because we needed the car we had hired - the staff member repeatedly kept being confrontational, asking us to pay up and when we shared we were not happy with his behaviour he demanded us to explain why we were upset with the situation. The staff member at times raised his voice and was very rude towards us. Absolutely bizarre that you turn up to pick up a car you’ve paid to hire and it’s not there and then the staff are confrontational about the fact that you are disappointed by that? Would not recommend until they are completely fully trained in being compassionate with other humans and perhaps knowing when people have paid for a car that it is likely they will turn up to collect it? Did not see AVIS or Hertz acting like this who are based in the same pick up area - highly recommend them instead.
