Bridge End Dental Practice

I have been a patient of the principal Dentist Dr Horton for many years and during that period I have received the very best professional treatment. Dr Horton has the highest qualifications in dentistry and the treatment I have had covering, bridges, root canal and fillings over the years have been excellent. Highly recommended.

Having worked at this practice I am able to offer a good insight to the practice if you are looking for a dentist. The practice is extremely run down and most engineers won't come to fix equipment due to being owed money. The staff turn over is incredibly high due to being run poorly and staff are treated like they are not important. Patients can be treated the same by the principal dentist if your face doesn't fit he can be rude,arrangant and do second rate work. Associate dentist's are both lovely but first impressions of the practice means they get unfairly judged. Appointments are frequently cancelled at short notice due to staff shortages. I would avoid this practice at all costs more interested in your money than giving you a good service.prehaps the principal dentist should consider retirement. Often gets away without reprocussions due to knowing the right people in the business

Not a good experience. Practice seems over rated. Had to seek a second opinion as dentist gave me two options - either an extraction or else referral to a specialist for root canal treatment which would have set me back ££££'s. Fortunately I still have my tooth and my money! Prefer a modern practice but must admit this one is friendly and the senior dentist excellent in all respects.

Treated appallingly. Grace refered me for an extraction to the hospital 6 months earlier as she said she couldn’t remove my problem wisdom tooth. 3 courses of antibiotics and 6 months of terrible pain and overdosing on painkillers later, I decide to chase up the appointment myself. Only to find the hospital hadn’t received a referral! I was told the whole process would have to start again. Pain got so bad that I was climbing the walls. Took myself to A and E to find a 9 hr waiting time. So went back to Bridge End in desperation to see if they could help me. Got told by a new dentist that there was nothing they could do as I was in so much pain!!! More antibiotics and appointment set in nearly 3 weeks time to attempt to pull the tooth out. That was the earliest they could get me in. Went home, crying out and screaming in pain. Husband phones them to be fobbed off again to say there was nothing they could do. Thank god my step father is a retired dentist. Within 12 hours he got me an appointment at his old practise. 10 mins later the tooth was extracted. The nerve was completely exposed as the tooth had broken down so much. He said that antibiotics wouldn’t have touched the pain. Why could Bridge End not have done the same for me? Totally let down and treated appallingly. Not once did the practise owner even look at me to see if he could help. Have they heard of overtime? Maybe in certain cases they should stay behind to help. That’s what I do with my business. Taken my business to the practise that helped me out. The practise is shabby and the staff turn over quickly. The dental nurses were lovely but that didn’t help my situation at the time.

I was recommended to this practice and had an appointment with the dentist which personally accepted me, then a few weeks before my second appointment they call me to say he is no longer seeing nhs patients and I can only see him privately! Doesn’t deserve 1 star! Cancelled my appointment now I have to look elsewhere! Avoid! You suffer for thier incompetence
