The team here are amazing, as is the quality of product. Despite all the current restriction, the staff were welcoming, attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The product, quality, choice and advice, are such that I've realised I don't need to travel far to ensure a first class experience, that beats any other I've previously had in the UK. Just had a my Tag watch cleaned and polished by these guys! What an amazing job they did, I can’t believe how the watch looks almost brand new and it’s 20 years old. Staff always friendly and helpful.

After first going into a big name high street jeweller (no longer allowed to fit a battery in a Gucci wristwatch?) we had the good fortune to visit Powells who fitted one without any fuss. The two ladies working at the time were both an absolute pleasure to deal with and my partner and I were made to feel very welcome, spending some time chatting and having a browse around at the extensive range of items on display. There was no pressure to be felt with regard to making a purchase and we were left feeling able to take our time. Although time wasn’t the only thing I spent there before leaving. For a while now I’d been looking for a ring for my partner but hadn’t seen anything suitable. Came across a beautiful ring display in the window. Unfortunately it wasn’t going onto my partner’s finger without some significant alterations. I’m very embarrassed and disappointed as I’m unable to recall the name of lady that helped us out that afternoon, but the service she provided was beyond all expectations. We really wanted this ring rather than source something similar. After going through our options and the related costs we decided to purchase the ring and have the alterations done. The lady made the arrangements for it to go into their workshop explaining it would be around a week before it was ready. Only a few days later I had a voicemail explaining I could pick it up later that day. The ring was absolutely perfect and without a trace of any work having been completed. Both my partner and I are extremely pleased with the ring and alteration and we both remain over the moon with the service provided. I couldn’t recommend Powells highly enough to anybody looking to purchase any jewellery. If you are hoping to be the recipient of exceptional customer service you won’t leave dissatisfied. This is service that feels personal and is of a quality that is sadly in this day and age, a rarity.
