How is it possible to have so many staff (usually at least four or five) and yet still be so slow..and how on earth can they justify closing for lunch in a busy village where many people can only get away from work at that time of day!? Deeply inconsiderate, lazy and unprofessional! Take your lunches in shifts, people! Come back Martins of Johnstown where service was quick and efficient. Martin ran the place with two other staff most days. When a customer entered, he would quietly announce 'shop' to alert one of his colleagues and get them serving the person right away. At Rowlands, you often get studiously ignored and they often fail to have common items in stock. When they ask you to come back, your prescription is often still not ready. I lodged a complaint about the ridiculous lunchtime closing policy a couple of months ago but despite receiving a regional management acknowledgement, they are apparently still ' 'investigating the matter'..FFS, what is there to investigate? It's a stupid, lazy policy. Just tell them to stop it. Oh, and woe betide you if you complain directly as I've done in the past. The fierce lady in charge doesn't want to know.

Some are of the staff are ok but some are just plain rude discussing patient information behind the counter for everyone to hear and don't always have items in and u have to go back quite a few times bwfore getting the correct prescription. A relative took an empty box to check the correct item and they accused them of stealing! There are nicer chemists in the area who are more professional
