Lovely food, well-priced, with good anti-Covid measures in place. Highly recommended! Why hasn't the rest of the country got Oatcake shops like this one?
Leek oatcakes are slightly thicker than the insipid Stoke version (but not as thick as the would-be pikelet in Derbyshire) and really really tasty. These guys are the real deal - traditional and artisan. Freshly prepared on the premises each day and reasonably priced, you can either have them plain or with fillings. Any visit to Leek isn't complete without a visit here, but just be careful as they shut at 1.00 (which is only fair since they open in the early hours to support people needing a good breakfast!)
Top place very accomodating when we stopped for a quick break
They are the best. If you want authentic oatcakes then this is the place.
