Such a lovely reserve. Very relaxed and peaceful. It's an easy walk as well, with great paths and no hills. My 18yr old little dog coped anyway!
This is the second time I've visited and it really is lovely. Today's highlights where a Great and a Little Egret!!
Lovely peaceful nature reserve. Best to go midweek as it is less busy. Take your time in the bird hides and you will usually be rewarded for your patience, with sightings of Kingfisher, 3 types of Egrets plus numerous other species. Best of all, just feel at peace with nature.
We have been visiting this lovely nature reserve for years and have always enjoyed it. The investment in the car park and visitor centre makes it accessible to more people. Lovely walks and always friendly staff in the shop.
MSW is absolutely class. A mature reserve with a bountiful supply of wildlife. A variety of routes around the reserve depending on how much time you have. Remember to buy something when you are there, there’s no entrance fee just a £2 car parking fee and they need all the number they can get. I’d also recommend becoming a wildlife Trust member, again very good value for money.
A lovely nature reserve with a mixture of woodland and open water with a number of hides for watching the wildlife. Managed by the Wildlife Trust, there is now a new visitors centre with a cafe. There is no entry fee other than a small charge for the car park.
