AMPM SPORTS BAR

This place never disappoints. Great spot to meet for drinks, have a quick bite, or to watch a football match and have your heart broken by Arsenal losing again 😭😭. I consider myself a burger connoisseur (LOL) and their burgers do not disappoint. I love that they throw in a few in onion rings for sh!ts and giggles alongside the fries. Will swing by there again next time I am in the area because there’s really nothing to do in Ghana but eat and chill, enjoyment country 😂💕

Good service. Food typical bar food. Oddly low roof. I was in early evening so no real atmosphere at that time.

My rating is based on their claim to be a sports bar. I've been here once on a Friday night out and four times to watch football. The first time was a couple of years ago to watch the champions league final. The service was terrible. I got there after the match had started. And tried in vain to get a menu. After the 3rd waiter "forgot" to bring me a menu like I asked, I got another waiter's attention and ordered the first drink that came to mind. I didn't bother trying to order anything else and no one came round to find out if we needed anything else. I chalked that down to inexperience in running a sports bar. So last year I decided to give them another chance and went there to watch a Europa League semifinal on a Thursday night. At half time, the sound went off and they couldn't seem to get it back on. To their credit, they gave us (watching the match) a discount on our bills. A few weeks ago, I gave it another shot to watch a Europa League match because it was an early kick-off and it's close to my office. They never showed the match. They said the rain (that had fallen hours earlier) had messed with the dstv signal (yet their other screens were showing a Champions League match from the night before, a cricket match, and a rugby match). At the point where we realized they were not going to show the match, we'd already received our drinks so we decided to stay and just watch the Champions League rerun. Over time they turned off all the matches they'd been showing, despite the fact we'd told our waitress we were here to watch football. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning to AMPM to watch football. The foods pretty good, though.
