Madina Lorry Station

It's very dusty and although they have started laying concrete, most of it is still dirt. So you can imagine how muddy it gets when it rains. You can however, pretty much get transportation to any place in Accra from here.

The station serves as transit point to take commercial vehicles to other part of the country, especially to the Central Region, Eastern Region, Part of Ashanti Region and also most part of the Volta Region. Drivers here are good with what they are trained to do. the journeys here in my experience are always safe and sound. Apart from the recent redevelopment of the entire station to make it comfortable for travellers, it's has been one of the difficult station in the Capital to access when it rain either little or heavily. The whole station turns muddy and it becomes uncomfortable for travellers as you will have to pass through this mess to board commercial vehicles to your intended destination. Currently, as mentioned earlier above, the station is going through redevelopment to make it comfortable for travellers. Will update if the situation is same or has improved after the redevelopment in the next few weeks. One other information if you're traveling here the first time is, don't get here after 8:30 pm, most of the vehicles for long journeys will have close for the day. It's not safe as unsuspecting persons will want to wisk away with your Mobile phones and money. Just use your head when you get here after 8:30 pm and above.

The place needs to be improved

I pick my car from here to Lakeside estate. It is a major station hub where you can connect to anywhere in Accra and beyond. At night it is a dangerous place, there are news of petty theft and prostitution around this place at night. I also like the market.

Very dusty and congested no neat places of conveniences the only plus is that you can get affordable commercial transportation to most destination in and out of Accra
