It’s nice but at the same time it’s a bit disappointing. Maybe you expect to see massive incredible pinnacles and they are actually pretty small. Its nice to see them but not a lot to do once you are there.
It’s super hot, flies are a nightmare, you can see kangaroos. Pictures at night can only be taken if you go in a tour.
My favorite spot in WA. Got some flies around if you visit in warm weather ( actually everywhere in north WA). We didn’t get fly net at the time. But we visited pinnacles again on our way back from Kalbarri to Perth, it was raining and we enjoyed it fly free.
Good idea to purchase a 5 day pass for national park if you are heading up to Kalbarri.it’s 25 dollars for five day pass. You would use it a lot trust me.
This was definitely a highlight of my road trip. I was expecting to have to walk quite a far while to see any pinnacles which is stated on their website but there was hundreds and very close to the driving path if you don't want to leave your car.
If possible, I would recommend walking around the pinnacles and just exploring, as each one is unique.
After paying the $15 entry fee, we were given a brochure which explains the phenomena of the pinnacles which was handy as well as informing us that entry is for the day so we could return for the evening stargazing they have available.
Even though, the road is just sand in the park, we saw hatchbacks easily driving along. The "road" is clear and laid out well so you can see heaps of Pinnacles.
Don't miss the lookouts inside the park as the view is amazing and can see multiple landscapes.
The Giftshop and the gallery are added bonuses which round out the experience.
They do display signs but if you have a bee allergy, I would avoid the toilets as there are many many bees inside them.
Incredible landscape. Unlike anything I've seen before! The drive that winds through is a really good way to see the pinnacles when the weather is ridiculously hot.
Went here latest about a year ago. Have gone every year since 2016. Amazing place and the sunset and stars are stunning!
