St. Charles Minor Seminary / SHS

It is the only Boys' Senior High School in the Northern Region. A Minor Seminary, it's main focus is to provide well rounded individuals to feed especially the Major Seminary. Quite apart from its primary mandate, the school in open to all individuals who are willing to experience Catholic training with the ultimate aim of contributing positively to the development of Ghana and the world at large. Having been absorbed by the central government, the school now accommodates individuals from other faith groups especially Muslims without compromising on its Catholic tradition. It's by far, the best single sex school ( boys only) in the northern part of Ghana.

Has a good reputation in the Tamale and Northern Region, all though now most of its infrastructure have deteriorated.

Good school ever in Tamale many of our children graduated there we thank god for that
