I loved the environment
VERY SPACIOUS
It is a nice and Serene environment
Catholic Institute of Business and Technology is a very good place to further your studies. Accredited by the National Accreditation Board, they provide valid services.
The environment is very friendly and mostly everyone is nice to it. The schools administration is also very good and the overall success of the school is accelerating.
A few improvements could be made though:
1. The CIBT website needs an upgrade with up-to-date information. This would help people learn more about the school easily.
2. Hostel facilities can be expanded, which would encourage more enrollments in the school.
I am quite disappointed with the administrative personal as well as the overseers of the administrative team for employees. My father was a professor at the Institute, Dr. Jacob Boakye. He was ill and passed away suddenly and it has been over a year and a half since his passing. I met with the President at the time in Jan 2017 who was Rev. Fr. John Louis and the Registrar personnel at the time who was Mr.Dankwa, I presented a letter of administration and asked that they follow up with me of any benefits or outstanding pay for my father. I explained that I was left alone with no family or siblings to help sort out my father's affairs and so the responsibility was left for me to do everything. I was consoled and assured that they would follow up with you as soon as possible. Up to this point I have called and sent numerous emails with no success or follow up from Rev. Fr. John Louis, Mr. Dankwa or anyone at all from CIBT. I am sharing my experience for any staff or lecturers that are employed with CIBT, please be sure that your children or next of kin are well versed with your benefit packages to be awarded to them in the event of sudden death. Please also provide paper or electronic copies of such documents as well to them. Unfortunately for my father's case, we were hopeful and sure that he would recover so we never not discuss together the inevitable in order for myself, his only child, to be better prepared. Nonetheless, I was confident that I was going to get the support and help I needed to settle his affairs but that was not the case and I am truly disappointed in CIBT for leaving me to hang at a time where settling my father's affairs was so desperately needed to allow me to grieve in peace without being overwhelmed and stressed. It is my hope that this review will help CIBT employees and lecturers but also any lecturers employed with private Universities and Colleges in Ghana to be vigilant. This, sadly can happen to anyone and I hope no child, an only child at that, has to go through the neglect and hurt I went through with CIBT.
