Mystic KOA Holiday

One of the few open all year places in the New York area. Most of the camping areas were closed so it was nice and empty. Felt like we had the place to our selves. 28 degree nights were cozy.

They bend over backwards to to make your stay awesome... and if they can't make you comfortable they will adjust to help you out.. great bunch of people work here!

Very large campground with nice pool setting and plenty of nice spots. The two star review is be cause we were in the back section that was literally 100 yard from the highway I95. You could see the big rigs streaming by. The noise was awful!! It would have been nice to the office to say the only spots we have left are right on the highway and at least give us a chance to decide if we wanted to take it or now. We literally had to raise our voices to talk around the campfire. You will hear the highway in any part of the campground. Second our electric box shorted out during the first night. Luck I had a surge protector for our Motorhome because it went to negative polarity. Plus it was dangerous as hell! The front of the box that held the socket literally was falling of the box with the wiring all exposed. God forbid if there were ever some curious children near it. Third they put a sign by the office that due to the windy day campfires we only allowed after 6:00 and at your discretion. So we waited until 6PM then built our fire. Then an hour later the workers came buy and told us to put it out. We said we were eating and could we have 10 minutes and we would put it out, even though the signage said the same with no new update. Well 3 minutes later they came back dumped a bucket of water on the fire causing a large plum of smoke and ash. Well that started a disagreement with the people we were with that got a little out of hand. It was just all so unnecessary if the campground had just communicated properly with its campers. This is just another KOA where the owners sold out and the franchise continues to squeeze every dime they can out of its campers. We are not KOA fans.

We had a blast so many things to do with the kids. Great staff and very clean. This camp ground is open all year round! I can wait to go again. They also have a club card as well to give to discounts on your stay!!

Great getaway during this crazy time. Very relaxing 3 night stay. We stayed in a full amenities cabin while our friends brought their trailer. Very peaceful and the grounds were clean. There were a few issues with our cabin unfortunately considering the price. On demand hot water was great until it wasn't hot😮. Not sure why it went cold but it happened every time we ran the hot water. Water handles in shower came off🤷‍♂️. The cabins could have been a tad cleaner as just about every corner had cobwebs 🤦‍♂️. The beds weren't comfortable for us and sleep was light. The pool was a good size, clean and we'll maintained. With Covid restrictions, capacity was 50 people which never became an issue. Overall, it was just what we needed with the exception of a few minor personal preferences. About 15 minutes from Mystic.
