St. Louis N.E. / I-270 / Granite City KOA Journey

When booking this campsite I did not look at the reviews. As we were driving i saw some of the bad reviews. I was hesitant after reading them. To stay here. I have to say my experience was not like the others. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. They lead us to the campsite, made sure everything was good helped us find somewhere to eat. Dog 🐕 play area was well maintained. Would stay again.

After our excellent experience at another KOA campground in Pennsylvania, we were surprised to have such a different experience here. The woman in the office was curt over the phone and was no more friendly in person. The campground was located near an industrial park, which was a bit disconcerting. The previous occupant of our site must have been a smoker because there were cigarette butts scattered all over grass by the picnic table which is kind of gross if you’re a nonsmoker. On the positive side, the restrooms were clean.

Campground surrounded by bad neighborhood and industrial area with lots of semis. Staff hard to reach and camp store was unattended for most of the day. Hope you need things on there schedule because there is no flexibility. Very basic campground and not up to normal KOA standards. I normally stay at KOA's to avoid campgrounds like this one. To sum it up dirty , rude, unappreciated, and in a horrible part of town. Would give no stars if I could.

Very well maintained Park. Great swimming pool and super clean laundry room with modern machines. Easy access off a major highway and great pull through site. Staff was accommodating and very helpful and friendly.

Good managers. A bit too close to industrial park - noisy. Also got to listen to Motorsports at track off of 55...not too bad.
