Mountain Vista Campground

I love the shade they have at the campground. It is unfortunate, however, that weeds surrounded the sites, including fun things like poison ivy. That should be taken care of. I did not notice that only two people were included in the rate. When I asked about a charge for "6 children" I was met with rudeness, and their tone was condescending. We have two children but stayed three nights. Another reason for the low rating was the noise. We were there from Sunday to Wednesday, and the noise was horrible. I can't imagine the horror that would be the weekend. Between the RV's AC units, the drunks that are yelling at 1 am, and the PA system somebody had, it was hard to sleep. The speed limit is five mph, but most people seem to be going 10 or above and several people would burn-out in the middle of the night. The workers drive at a very unsafe speed in their machines. The bathrooms aren't nice at all. You have to hold down the faucet handles to get water. The showers had a chain that you had to pull for water. Once you let go of the chain the water stops. That was very unhandy for one woman that was trying to bathe her baby. The water temperature is perfect, for about thirty seconds. It starts out cold and within a minute or two the water is too hot for most people, I'd imagine, but certainly for babies. It got two stars for the shady spots.

I literally cried at the end of this season! We found a gem! The campground is family run and they make YOU feel like family. Even with the restrictions due to Covid this year, we can honestly say we had the best summer. The campground is clean and safe and extremely RELAXING. We feel comfortable letting our grandchildren go fishing by themselves and take walks throughout the grounds. There was always staff riding around from morning till night, which made us feel safe. Eileen went out of her way to make sure there were activities for the kids and adults, while following CDC guidelines, that kept us all busy. We have been to other campgrounds and Mt Vista is our families favorite. Best news yet, we were able to get a seasonal site for next year! Counting the days until we go back!!! PAUL and Marcy Knapp

Nice campground near Marshall's Creek a lot to do in the area, hiking, all kind of water stuff on the Delaware, fishing and boating etc. The campground is wooded a lot of shad, most sides are full hookups. Family and pet friendly, a dog run (fenced in area with double gates) to let you pup run free. Several nice tend sides with water and electric too, or you could rent a cabin. The staff is very nice and helpful, overall a nice get away for the family.

Went on vacation at mountain vista for 5 days. From check in until check out staff was friendly and courteous. The loft cabin was very clean comfortable & Ac worked great. Pool area was very clean and great for children! I highly recommend mountain vista as a quiet get away! Will be going back for sure! It was very relaxing & peaceful
