PABADE CAFE AND BAKERY

Absolutely my favorite coffee spot in NYC. The coffee is fantastic and strong, they have delicious vegan pastries along with their regular pastries, and the owners couldn't be more kind. They're genuine and sweet, they quickly remembered me and what I order after having been their only twice at that point. I go out of my way to come here!

It’s not just that their food is delicious and heartwarming (I had their sandwiches, pastries, and bread), but this bakery has a soul. They know how to uplift your spirit with their generosity, even when you know that they, like other small businesses in NYC, are struggling. Along with my order, I’d sometimes find a flan that’s creamy and nostalgic at the same time, or a box of scrumptious pastries (croissant with guava!). It’s generosity, pure and simple, but also confidence and pride, knowing that what they offer is really good. To the siblings behind this gem, thank you.

Not your typical Spanish Harlem bakery. They bring they're culinary skills and give a unique taste to some of our old favorites. Just leave me some pastellitos de Guava!
