Excellent bread, Italian pastry and delicious cheesecake. The bread products are priced al right, not great. The pastries are priced exuberant. A dozen pastries will cost approximately $40. Excellent hours. Open until 9:30 pm most nights. Great, attentive and courteous staff. You can get warm fresh baked bread ALL DAY. BEST BAKERY in New Jersey! Parking can be a little difficult in front on 1st Ave. They do have a parking lot available about 150ft east of the bakery directly off Bloomfield Ave. The cops don't really ticket the Bakery customers for double parking right in front, but use the lot. It's much easier. You can always count on great music, like Frank Sinatra, playing on the speakers while you pick your items. They also sell gallons of milk, raw pizza dough and more. I love this Bakery.

The price is a little expensive . I recommend Tres leche ✌️

I ordered a custom cake and it was beautiful and done on time. However, the roses were not roses, more like small circles, I wanted a rose look but still the cake came out pretty. The filling was bland, it was just custard with a handful of strawberries and bananas thrown randomly around. I wanted a strawberry banana cake filling with fresh fruit, even paid extra for it. But i assumed it would have a layer of strawberry and a layer of banana but it was really just a good looking cake. I paid over 200$ so I was expecting more then just decorations. Everyone absolutely loved the look of the cake, but no one took cake home I was left with a whole tier that could feed 20 people, so taste was not all the rave. It was mostly simple cake and custard like a supermarket sheet cake.

I have been so disappointed in this bakery. I go to the one in Caldwell. I have given them 3 tries and I will not go there ever again. First time, I bought a birthday cake for my daughter. It was stale. Buttercream was sickeningly sweet. The second time, I bought 2 lbs of butter cookies. They were stale and tasteless. No buttery taste, that’s for sure. The third time, I bought 6 danish and some donuts. The danish were all stale. Dry and certainly not any kind of treat. The donuts had hardly any jelly or cream in them. This place is not cheap. You would expect fresh baked, buttery, delicious products but that’s not what you get. If you look in the windows late at night or on your way out of their restaurant, you will see the cookies and other baked goods just sitting there so I know that everything is not freshly baked.
