Evangelical Church of Ghana School Complex

This is such a carefully designed School compound. I have been frequenting the place for the past weeks and it didn't occur to me to give the school attention until I saw the inscription boldly written on one of the New Life College storeys: "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity. 1 Timothy 4:12" As powerful as words are, I immediately realized what the administration is trying to imbibe in their products. The sight of this statement on a daily basis is a confidence booster, in that, not even their immediate teachers can intimidate them with their towering personalities. Quickly, I made up my mind to reach out to those in-charge so as to commend them on their visionary posture. Then I learnt more. Apparently, there are two educational levels here; the basic (Evangelical Church of Ghana School Complex) and the tertiary (New Life College). There are plans in place to insert the secondary level as they have secured a 30 acre field at Nyankpala which currently accommodates the Nursing students in hostel facilities. Soon, they intend introducing a certificate and degree in Biblical Studies programs which will cover Theology and Missions. Most schools have varied approaches to their teaching and learning but as I observed, I concluded they were deploying the Montessori approach, looking at the play tools dotted around the compound. Actually, they are using an integrated approach; combining both the traditional and Montessori methods. That's rather impressive. Currently, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Cape Coast use their campuses for their PHD and undergraduate programs respectively on weekend basis.
