I have ordered several cakes from Bakeshop for different occasions in the past. As I always do, I sent a cake inspiration that I wanted to be executed. To my surprise, I was rudely told that the 'madam' said the cake I want cannot be made as it is another baker's work and to order from the other baker. As I am a loyal customer and due to the proximity of Bakeshop from my house and how delicious I find their cake, I wanted them to make my special birthday cake. Out of curiosity, I asked how come this particular cake could not be made as other cake orders I made in the past were also cake designs from other bakers. I was surprised that I was given such a response with no further reasonable explanation when probed. It is understandable if you perhaps do not have all the materials to make the cake but just point blank turning a customer away without even discussing to see how you can provide excellent service to make the customer happy is sub par. Telling a client who has come to you to go order from another baker is unprofessional. Inspiration is always drawn from somewhere to make something. I do not plan on ordering with them again considering the poor service I received.
