Gushegu Municipal Hospital

The Gushegu District Hospital is one of the best health care centers in the north region of Ghana. The hospital provides 24 hourly uninterrupted service for people in the Gushegu municipal and beyond. It provides services to an estimated number of more than forty-five (45) smaller communities with no or low cost of treatment. However the hospital need more attention from both the Ghana government and Non-governmental agencies to help carry the huge burden. It need to be equipped with ultramodern machinery and building of more Wards to create space for efficient work. Important drugs such as the Anti-Snake Venom should always be available since most of the hospital attendants are poor farmers and victims of snakes bites. This poor farmers finds it difficult to get access to these drugs when the need arise.
