Mayan Divers

This has been the absolute best vacation I have ever been on. The staff at this resort is absolutely incredible from Kevin and Olive at the front desk to Marvin bringing the drinks. Cindy and Francesca at Luna Maya are such incredible ladies and really took care of me for dinners. And Captain Clyde and Divemastet Mark were just the absolute best ever....literally! The reef is ALIVE! And well protected! This place does an excellent job of giving its clientele an incredible experience I will not soon forget. I’m not even gone and I want to come back

The dive company was really great. We did 3 boat dives a day (4 on the day with the night dive). The Dive master is safe, but not pushy. I have been at a resort before where they were taking you up at 750 PSI, here they relied on your own good judgment. They took us to a variety of reefs and where we could see the local sea life and either just dive, take pictures, or for some in our group, spear the invasive Lion Fish. I really like the shop and the staff was supper friendly.

Good dive shop. Strong four stars. I will do pros and cons and reader can decide if it's a good fit for their diving objectives Pros: 1. Excellent big, convenient boats 2. Excellent equipment 3. Excellent dive shop facilities 4. Mostly fantastic stuff/instructors/DMs/Captains, especially Patricia, who went above and beyond to instruct my eldest during Advanced Open Water and my youngest with Bubble Maker. A true ambassador of the sport and PADI with superb work ethics. Cons: 1. Diving logistics are streamlined towards novice divers/DSDs/one off cruise liner divers, so if you want to explore more advanced sites, you will be out of lack unless you are willing to charter the whole boat; dive planning is done based on the lowest skills set denominator and groups are not divided based on skills level. This was not a big deal for me as on this trip I was diving with my son and Roatan is a majestic place to dive at. 2. I have had a less than average (somewhat negative) experience with one of the instructors who was first assigned to do a Bubble Maker course with my son. The negative experience is due to what seem to be imstructor's complete lack of interest in teaching the course and an attempt to charge more for tasks and experiences which are already part of the course and scoped under course's agenda. At the end, all turned out to be great as management has resolved the issue and has assigned Patricia who has made the experience fantastic for my son. All in all a great diving trip!

Just got back from a week of diving with two fantastic people taking us to dive....Captain Clyde and our Divemaster Mark. Great trip and really nice and very helpful people. Can’t wait for the next trip!

Rooms where nice and clean, the people at the hotel are very nice and helpful but in not sure the hotel is ready to give customers the all inclusive delivery a 4 stars hotel should give
