Nice little place in Sigua. Decent food. Fish tacos were excellent
Honestly, this is probably one of the worst "high-end" restaurants in siguatepeque. Here's why. I came here and expected it to taste like traditional Mexican food; however, it ended up being a huge disappointment and a disgrace to Mexican food. I have previously been to Mexico and tried authentic Mexican food back in the United States; therefore, I understand what good food is supposed to taste like. I ordered quesadillas, wings, nachos, and some french fries. I deeply regret ordering so much from their menu because it ended up being such a waste of my time and money.
Here are the issues I had with EACH thing that I ordered:
Quesadillas: Cold, all of the cheese was in one side, too toasty, and the taste was incredibly bland (had to add an excessibe amount of salsa to make it worth eating).
"Spicy" wings: Were cold as well, the sauce that they added tastes sort of fermented (giving it an alcoholic taste), and the chicken tasted like if it was frozen for a couple of days.
Nachos with cheese and meat sauce: Cold, the cheese tasted incredibly cheap, and so did the meat sauce, the wheat/ tortilla chips were too hard for my taste, and the display was also not very pleasing (they seemed to have just thrown everything together without thinking much about it).
French fries: They had a weird frozen taste that made them taste disgusting, they were also, as you may already know, cold and soggy. They looked good initially but their looks were also deceiving (like every other item in their menu).
To conclude, my experience with this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. I had relied too much on the previous reviews and expected something great out of the restaurant. In addition, their service was also poor. We had waited almost half an hour just for them to bring us our drinks (which were very expensive, ranging from Lps. 30-35 for just one cup of Coke or natural juice) and were also put to wait for very long just to get our food. I greatly DO NOT recommend going to this awful restaurant and instead recommend going to "El Chefcito" or "Frites and grill", as their food is way better and sits at a better price. Thank you for reading my review and I advice whoever is reading to take my words in consideration.
Exquisite menu...try the parillada.
