Clínica Veterinaria Matamoros

I used Matamoros Vet to get a friend's cat spayed. They were very thorough. There was a vet visit beforehand to make sure the cat was healthy (she wasn't), so she was put on some meds for parasites. Then they spayed her and there was a follow-up visit to make sure she was healing well. He speaks English, and the staff is very knowledgeable and takes care of the animals. I recommend them.

We picked up a 6-week old Boxer puppy and after a few days realised she was ill. On a recommendation took her to Matamoros. They did a range of tests and quickly discovered she had the blood parasite Ehrlichia. A series of injections over two days including visiting us in our house to administer the second batch and the transformation in her was remarkable. This is a wonderful practice led by a very experienced and professional vet supported with caring and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend them.

When looking for a place to have a cat spayed, I was going to go to a different clinic, but they weren't open the day I could go. I ended up taking the cat to Matamoros, and I am SO glad I did! The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, and the vet speaks English very well. He also did a great job educating the young friend of mine (who owns the cat) on how to better take care of her pet. Since the cat recently had kittens, the vet gave her a solution to dry up her milk, vaccinated her, and gave her a de-worming medication. We will go back in a month to have her spayed. I could tell that the staff was very caring towards the animals, and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this clinic!

Pésima atención. Llevé a rayos X a un gato rescatado, tardaron dos horas en pasarme lo cual no tengo problema en hacerlo pero al atenderme me doy cuenta que no hay doctor/a Una veterinaria sin veterinario no tiene mucho sentido que digamos y se tiraban la culpa de que debió haber sido la recepcionista la que debía haberme dicho. Me fui sin diagnóstico general del gatito más que confirmar por las radiografías lo que ya sabía, que el gato no podía caminar porque estaba quebrada la cadera. Terrible. Sólo fui por los rayos X (mal necesario básicamente) yo atiendo a mis gatos en otra veterinaria.

The times that I have gone with my pets the attention has been very good. Maybe if they could correct the waiting time as pets get restless. The emergency number works EXCELLENT👍🏽
