Lessons are taught based on the Bible. On weekends, all congregations gather to listen to a thirty-minute Bible discourse that shows how the Scriptures relate to life and current ones. Those present are encouraged to continue reading the passages in their own Bible. Next comes the Watchtower Study, of one hour, in which the members of the congregation are invited to participate in the analysis of an article in the study edition of the Watchtower magazine. It points out different ways of applying the counsels of the Word of God in life. In each of the more than one hundred and ten thousand congregations that exist throughout the Earth, the same information is studied.
