Our stay at Mango Inn was part of a scuba diving package at Utila Dive Center, we have stayed here a few times and we definitely think that it’s a good option for a stay if you’re planning on enjoying the island and have activities planned. The place could definitely use some maintenance in the rooms, everything is clean but some of the bed are very worn out and we were missing some window shutters.

It's okay for the price but I'm giving it a 3 because there was no light in the stairs for a couple of days and it felt dangerous. Also, not pet friendly.

Rooms quaint but nice. Found some problems with room that required immediate attention. Staff a little slow to react but they came thru and did what was necessary to get it right. And comped us a couple free dinners for our troubles. Staff gave us plenty of information on what to do in the island.

My partner and I stayed in a private dorm for 3 weeks in January while taking diving courses with Utila Dive Centre and really enjoyed our stay. The service from the front desk and cleaning staff were always friendly. The room was simple and cleaned daily! With the fan (no AC) was plenty cool that time of year especially at night. Pool was nice and has lots of outdoor seating and picnic table. The bathrooms could use some renovations (pretty run down in showers but it didn't effect our stay much). Towels are available for a $10 deposit each that you get back upon check-out and can be exchanged for clean ones any time during the stay. We were overall impressed with this place, especially for the price!
