JAVNA USTANOVA PARK PRIRODE KOPAČKI RIT - PRIJEMNI CENTAR

This is where we went to arrange a private guided photosafari. Basically, somebody waits for you early in the morning and takes you through the shallow waters of the park with a 5 meter motorboat. Our guide was a guy named Tibor and he was like a living encyclopedia for the area. We loved it, best money we've ever spent.

Since Kopački rit is one of the best preserved floodplains in Europe and represents the inner delta of a large river, the most attractive programs are those that take place on the water. There are various water tours that are tailored to the capabilities and desires of each visitor. Riding a tourist boat is something unique because it cannot be achieved in any flood area on the Danube, except in Kopački rit. For smaller groups, there are also boat rides that can go a little further than a boat, depending on the water level. Boat rides are ideal for those who want to experience Kopački rit in a completely different way and get closer to the most hidden places of its beautiful nature. For adventurers we offer shorter or longer water canoe tours where nature is experienced again in a special way. There are also specialized programs such as bird watching, photo safari programs or listening to the roar of deer, which combine boating as needed, hiking or off-road touring. Such programs are organized for smaller groups and can last for hours or even days. A tourist train is also offered by the Park, which can be used to visit other interesting parts or the train can only serve as a transfer from one point of the tour to another. In the northern part of the Park lies the complex of Tikveš Castle, which is located in a beautiful oak forest where most forest animals live, so during the walk you can often see deer or wild boar, or you can experience a completely different nature. The renovation of the Tikveš complex introduces new and interesting facilities with an emphasis on cultural and historical heritage, which prolongs the stay in the Park. All the mentioned programs are organized accompanied by an expert from the Park, and the visitors have at their disposal accompanying facilities such as a unique wooden promenade, the alley of the Danube Parks surrounded by fruit trees, natural hiking and cycling trails; facilities showing the architectural heritage and various presentations and interactive displays of flora and fauna in the Park.

Wonderful place to go.

Plain and simple. Insufficient and poor quality for 80 HRK per person. From 250 km2 you may see a 2 km2 boat carrying you in the same direction from the port and back.
