Photo Club Rijeka operates in the Principij Gallery in the Old Town of Rijeka. A special place, in the part of the Old Town, where parts of the interesting urban construction of the century-old past are visible. I love the flowing city ... all the important and unimportant events of human life. How much photography really helps to evaluate an event in a positive or negative sense. But, first of all, to show the young generation how much photography is not only a witness to an event but also the art of expression. In my opinion, a rare trait of all members of the Club, but a very great human trait, proved by organizing a review of photographs of the FOUR DOYENS OF RIJEKA PHOTOGRAPHY - gentlemen: DOKMANOVIĆ, HRELJANOVIĆ, ŠKROBONJA and ŽORŽ, for their 50 years of artistic photography, and awards. They are very present on WEB pages on the Internet, as well as in exhibitions, both in the premises of the Principij Gallery, and at festivals in the country and abroad. In this period of the great pandemic related to COVID-19, great thought is given to how photography can show the seriousness of the situation, and how to prevent negative phenomena through photography, which can endanger human lives as much as nature and places we move and we live.
