This is a beautiful park in a memory of a story that should never happen again. The history and the meaning behind this park should never be forgotten. Even though it reminds of some of the most horrifying actions of which humas are capable doing, walk around the park is calming and spiritual. We, as people, should never forget, but also we should always forgive and understand.
Very peaceful place. If your in the area you should definitely visit. Also an amazingly well preserved stream train from the era.
This spomenik can be easily seen from a nearby road. In order to get to this monument, we have to walk a wooden platform, which leads us through muddy area of two neighboring ponds. When seen at night, the place looks very mysterious, and may cause some sort of anxiety. Anyway, it's definitely worth seeing.
I will give it 5 stars but place like this can not be rated in some conventional way.
This is a place of horror. This is a place of mass death. This is place where so many people, so many families vanished. And in what way. They were worked to death or they were slaughtered for fun.
Sadly this place it turned to a nature park. In my opinion it would be better if it was left the way it was. Like Auschwitz. So that people can see the true horror of this place. Today's regime is admitting 'only ' 81998 victims. And the fact is that the number of the victims is 10 time higher then that.
If you visit this place, think about all this as you walk to the monument. When you put you're foot on the path think about on what you are walking on.
It not a nature park. It's a very dark place. And the air is heavier in there.
A haunting place of reminding us the horrors of violence that took place in Croatia's biggest concentration camp. The museum will leave a lasting impression on you.
The staff at the museum are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
The place is around two kilometres away from the train station and you have only option of walking.
It is best advised that you take vehicle or plan properly if you go alone. I went alone and the police checked me couple of times, may be because of the brown skin. Still it was worth all the troubles.
