Booked through Expedia and bought excess reduction insurance through Expedia. Upon arrival we were informed of some "additional fees", namely a fee for their opening early which a) we had not been informed of when booking (or we would have booked pick up an hour later) and b) we picked the car up at the opening time listed on their own website. Then they proceeded to tell us that unless we booked additional excess reduction insurance directly with them, we would need to leave a massive deposit before taking the car. We cancelled the booking on the spot, as I am sick of rental car companies taking advantage of customers. My email to the company complaining was not replied to.

Get the insurance! Drop off was rather easy and pick up was at Slovenia airport. Overall price was far better than the competition for a one way trip from Slovenia to Croatia. The car was rather beat up, heavily dented and damaged. While driving the rear bumper frequently popped off because it was never repaired. no cruise control either.... just get the insurance...

Absolutely the best car rental service I’ve used anywhere. Irene, the office manager, is exceptional at customer service. Great prices and honest recommendations. I asked and wanted to pay for a GPS system but was told my phone could interface with the car’s system to provide everything. Saved me a couple of bucks and won big on loyalty. Go with these guys.
