Ancient Oil Mill "Muline"

One of the really historic places on the island of Ugljan. You can visit the ruines of the former buildings as well as a reconstruction of the acient oil mill. In addition there are some descriptions about historic olive oil production (in the 1st century the "Muline press" represented a new method of olive oil mills). Check this out if you are around the region.

Not quite worth the trip in my opinion.

An excellent reproduction of the old olive presses for the extraction of oil, from the ancient Roman times. The great qualitative contribution of the oil produced in this island, is based on the conservation of olives in sea water, from its collection until the moment of being processed. Apparently, this created a differentiation in the consumer sector.
