MRI of both ankles was performed. The reading of the findings and the opinion were stated as orderly. Due to severe pain and further swelling, I decided to do a private ultrasound examination on which a 5mm bone fragment with an surrounding 8mm diameter effusion was found. At my request, I present the MR finding in digital form and I was told that the bone fragment is clearly visible on the MR and it is not at all clear how the finding could have been interpreted as orderly, without any mention of the bone fragment. The examination itself was done quickly and in the agreed time, however, the reading of the findings, which is extremely important, was done catastrophically. If I hadn't taken the initiative and asked for a new examination, I would never have found out about the problems.
