A bad hotel with poor service, everything in the room is bad, and the staff is even worse! When we left, the hotel even said that we had to fine us for breaking the lampshade and that the lampshade was made in China. I think it’s ridiculous-a rotten country that can’t even produce rubbish, complaining to the guests that the hotel’s rotten things turned out to be made in China! Then why don't they use British products? It is strongly not recommended to stay at this hotel!

The worst hotel ever. Came to Balkans with a tour group and staying here. Only when our group reach the hotel at night were we informed that the air conditioning was not functioning in a few rooms, and the management don’t even know which rooms were not functioning, so we have to go up and find out ourselves. We already reserved for dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, and wanted extra water (10 person table, only 1 big water bottle was given), and even though the hotel gave us much trouble the restaurant still wanted to charge us for extra water, just for that petty 50 cent Euro, and when other group members wanted to drink their own DRINKINg WATER (just plain and nth special) the waiter stopped them from doing so.

Really rude staf, the aircond in the room not functioning at all. The staff blame group from Malaysia cause the aircond problem, supposedly technician fix the problem not blaming customers.

Reservation for a family of 4. Arrived at the hotel we are told that there are only rooms for 3 people, we must sleep 4 in a room for 3. After discussion we had a 2nd room. When checking out, we were charged extra for the 4th person. Scam site or hotel? Breakfast open until 10am. We came at 9:30, there was not much choice, the eggs / bacon were cold. Noisy air conditioning in the rooms .. Hotel located on the edge of the main road and out of the city.

I stayed in Phoenix few days ago for one night and I must say it was wonderful. Girl on reception Josepa was very helpful, she put me in very big and comfortable room, bed was great, also she recommended me one nice restaurant near to the hotel with traditional Croatian food and it was very delicious. She spoke to me really nicely and told me more about Zagreb and events happening there, especially in December. Recommending hotel to everyone and hope to go there very soon. Greetings to the hotel Phoenix staff and see you again!
