Another precious water-refill fountain!
To remember the time before plastic was used and to reduce plastic waste.
The beautiful Gothic-Renaissance Small Onofrio's Fountain was built in the period from 1440 to 1442 by the constructor of the Dubrovnik aqueduct Onofrio della Cava, while sculpting work was made by sculptor Petar Martinov from Milano. It is located next to the building of the City Guard on Luža square. The purpose of the Small fountain was to supply the market on the Luža square with water (fresh water is still perfectly potable).
Everybody was tired after hot summer day sightseeing - even the pigeons ;)
