This is the kind of place that you can easily describe as a hidden gem. Looking many of the reviews here you will see mixed reviews about this place but you have to come here with the right expectations. They have managed to pack the place full of information and I have been to Dubrovnik twice now and went both times and noticed each year they are improving this museum as well. This is a museum for people who like to get away from the crowds and really see something that is closer to the locals hearts. The staff here are extremely friendly, Jadranka went out of her way to welcome us to this museum both times and is a good representation of the true local heart of Dubrovnik. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something unique and authentic. This is also one of the few Dubrovnik museums where you actually learn about the history of the people who used to live in Dubrovnik.
