I was fortunate enough to spend a few days with Franco directly, and had a very enjoyable and professional experience. Franco takes very food care to ensure trainees are not only capable but have the emotional readiness to crew a boat. He is attentive, coaching, with a very enjoyable demeanour. I can honestly say that his coaching in a very short time helped me develop not only as a skipper but as a responsible leader of crew and passengers more than any of my previous experience gave me. If you have pride in learning not just competency but successful and safe maritime behaviour in a fun environment i would recommend white wake above others. At the end of my training I have a clear understanding of my abilities and limitations, and only in this understanding do I feel confident in being able to provide crew and passengers with a safe and enjoyable journey! Took my Day Skipper licence with White Wake and had such a fantastic time that when 2 berths became free the following week due to Covid we extended our stay to practice and refine all we had learnt Loved both weeks and whilst this was is obviously training course rather than a holiday the balance between learning and enjoying some ‘holiday time’ was spot on. Our instructor Simonetta was very good and made learning fun and also personalised the training for each individual. Good balance between theory and putting that into practice and we had some great laughs and fun along the way. Our 2nd week showed the flexibility of the training approach with a chance to hone our newly learnt Skipper skills with the new attendees being predominantly Competent Crew and Simonetta adapted her training to allow us to put our newly acquired skills into practice and support the new crew I found Franco to be very personable from the initial enquiry and throughout and nothing was too much trouble and when Covid hit his communication was excellent and left me in no doubt at all that if the worst happened we would get a refund if it came to that. As Franco was returning home the week we arrived he made the effort to meet us at the airport to greet us on arrival which was a really nice touch. Would 100% recommend White Wake and both Franco and Simonetta
