We were here in November! Bojan and the crew from More Sub Diving School were amazing! We had an incredible experience. The equipment is premium quality and very new. After small chat about what we gonna do today we took everything on a speed boat and we took off to the reef. Bojan explain what we gonna do and what to expect and we took two dives that day. He was extremely helpful to my wife that is just after OWD. He is such a great teacher, very patient, great tips and everybody felt very safe. We highly recommend this diving school! We will be back for sure!
Mediocre diving. Not much to see where we dove. At other places I have been, the divemaster has brought fishfood to attract some fish when there was not much to see. My son who was doing a discover-diving got no help from the instructor but I had to check up on him myself. Also too many divers at the same time, there were 8 of us. Disappointed.
Great way to spend time in Makarska. Diving centre is well situated within the city - there is nearby parking or it is in walking distance from the main port. Dive sites are very close - either by boat or short car ride. School itself is very professional and well equiped. I dived 6 times within 7 days long stay in the area. Recommended!
[tl;dr] I totally do not recommend that diving center, because they provided me a very poor quality air and didn’t want to acknowledge my complaint, yelling at me: „get out!!!”
On 24th of August 2017, I had a doubtful pleasure to dive with MORE SUB diving center. On the boat, they offered us a very poor quality air, which smelled like an old gum or oil. At first, I thought that it is because of the regulator, but air in tanks of my friends was also smelly. The first dive was quite satisfying, even though I was struggling with the provided air. Unfortunately, the second tank was so bad, that I couldn’t breathe under the water. I had a feeling of the itchy throat (I wasn’t sick that time) and started to cough. On 24 meters under the water, I tried to change the source of breathing into the octopus, but the problem hadn’t stopped. Our guide, Mr. Marko ( I don’t know his diving level) was a witness of that situation. I couldn’t manage to dive normally so I made my dad to ascend with me in low visibility environment without visual points of reference, which was also stressful. Obviously, we had to make a safety stop on 5 meters. Basically, that second dive was a complete disaster, because it took 24 minutes with submerging and ascending time. On the bottom, I spent around 5 minutes trying to inconclusively solve the problem. Capitan Bojan noticed that we ascended earlier than other people but didn’t help us to get into the boat and he didn’t seem to be interested why we had an emergency ascendancy. On the surface, we wanted to receive any explanation of such an occurrence. Mr. Bojan admitted that they had changed the compressor the day before but we “don’t have to worry about it”, because „some tanks don’t smell”. We decided to talk with Mrs. Agnes, who seemed to be more communicative. She told us that she needs to talk to the Capitan (not Mr. Marko, who was under the water with us). She received the information that we were diving 24 minutes, so they treat it as a normal dive. She also told us that we didn’t check the air before diving, so we shouldn’t complain because we went into the water. Then suddenly Mr. Bojan came in and started to yell at me “ you dived 24 minutes, get out!” Is that behavior of a diving instructor? He repeated it three or four times. Other guests heard it as well. Mrs. Agnes explained to us that he doesn't like Polish people, because they are cheating and trying to impose reimbursements. We kindly asked Mrs. Agnes to rethink that situation and get back to us with the solution. Unfortunately, she didn’t do that.
I was diving many times in: Poland, Egypt, Czech Republic, few times in Croatia and working for the diving center in Japan. I’ve never had such a situation and I can’t imagine that someone who I’m paying money (80 euros) for providing me professional and enjoyable service treats me like that: giving a poor quality air, not trying to understand my point of view, being rude and racist, guiding by stereotypes. In my humble opinion, it is a big shame for PADI organization, which is known as a professional one and advertises diving as an enjoyment and pleasure. I totally do not recommend that diving center and I am writing it to warn other divers. Shame on you, More Sub.
Good diving School, had fun diving in makarska
