Spuga 2 - The Sponge Factory and Sponge Shop

If you happen to ever be traveling by Sibenik, and want to take the awesome 5 minute ferry ride out to the island of Krapanj, there is a wonderful natural sponge muzeum and shop. Their family has been sponge diving for more than a century, and they were kind, and VERY PATIENT as my kids asked a million questions, wanted to touch and try EVERYTHING and she even showered them with some beautiful small gifts. Totally worth the side trip if your kids like things like this. If you are into natural sponges or want some wonderful Adriatic sea salts, this is the place to buy it. ♥️🇭🇷🇪🇺

Very lovely place. Small, but every detail is well thought out. You can see interesting artifacts and buy a sponge for a good price. If you visit Krapanj, visit this place too.

Beautiful family exhibition and sales space "museum" about sponges and sponging with the story of the host in whose family the exhibition is

Well decorated. In addition to all sizes and shapes of domestic sponges, some exhibited items such as amphorae, Roman artifacts and diving equipment are on display. At the entrance, a documentary on sponge-making is also played on the television. Sponge prices are affordable.
