Caffe bar Domus

What's even the point of a place if it doesn't have a huge monkey plushie? I'll tell you, there is no point. But here's Domus, a place which I can't even describe but I can damn well try. It's cozy as heck and has newspaper clippings all over the wall. It has a disco ball and great music. The selection of drinks is great and it is affordable. The restrooms are interesting and it's very hard to concentrate on what you're doing in them, you'll see what I mean when you get there. And last but not least the amazing staff.

A hiden gem in the historic center of Zagreb, right across the Stone Gate. Don't be fooled by the fancy caffe near it, this one has an entrance by going down the few steps. And while it does have tables on the street, you should really go down those steps and have a look inside - classic old town basement, with bricks and arches, and all walls covered in newspaper articles. You won't find a cozier atmosphere anywhere near! But the best part is sitting in summer on some of the few tables down in front of the entrance - most of the day it's in the shade, so you can relax from the heat. The small space makes you feel right at home in someone's garden, as it's surrounded by many green plants, candles and a few black&white historic art photos of Zagreb. Take a look at the photos! PLUS - the drinks are VERY cheap!
