Rustica house

One could probably spend hours in each part of the house, just looking at the details. Everything is made (renovated) up to perfection: stone walls, furniture, dried lavender. Every piece is absolute original. The house not only gives an impression of old times, it is a tribute to old Mediterranean. If you arrive to Skradin by bus, you can reach the house within a couple of minutes: either by climbing the stairs (from the main street) or walking up (next to the church). If you have lots of luggage, head to the city church and walk up. The house has the most prominent place in the city. The fist thing you will notice when you walk up how amazing the views are. Take a moment on the huge terrace in front of the house: it offers a spectacular view to the Skradin lake and to the house itself. It is super old, and the owners did an amazing job restoring it to its full glory (you can appreciate their work by comparing the house to the neighbouring house). On the first floor there is a cozy living room with a kitchen: we were happily enjoying our time cooking and chilling on the couch as we had a couple of rainy days. The kitchen is equipped with a brand new fridge and oven, so we had no problems cooking. You can get all the ingredients in nearby shops (walking distance 5-10 mins) or at the market. Although the city has several good restaurants and bars, we preferred having meals and coffee in the house: we just could not get enough of the view!! There are two bedrooms (each with a toilet) on the upper floor. The bedrooms are very romantic and cozy, equipped with a small writing desk and a double bed. Each room also has a wardrobe. I don't remember ever enjoying the bedroom that much: exposed stone, comfy bed and magnificent views made me feel super relaxed. Although the weather was not perfect during our stay, we have enjoyed the national park Krka. You can reach the Krka waterfalls in 30-40 min (walking) or in 6 min (walking) the excursion boat. The park is huge, so we also visited Visovac lake and Roski slap. Skradin region is excellent for biking, hiking Skradin we are planning a hike to the fort Kljucica and to Bribirska glavica). The city is calm and friendly. Make sure to try Bibich wines, buy some olive oil and talk to the owners: they have interesting stories to tell.
