We spent a weekend in Hvar and had 2 dinners in Grande Luna. Service, food and wines were exceptional. Once you are sitting in the terrace, the time starts to slow down, and you realize that you spent 3 hours :) We were with kids who are very “traditional” when it comes to food, and they loved their tomato soup and grilled chicken while we enjoyed the octopus salad, carbonara, mussels and exceptional Croatian wines. Pleasant gifts (desserts) at the end were mind-blown. To wrap it up: just come and enjoy

I am so sorry we discovered this place at the last day of our vacation! It has very nice terrace with no roof (in the evening), so that one can watch the stars 🤩 while drinking excellent local wine and enjoying amazing food. During hot time there are ventilators that can slightly refresh the air without making people sick. In Grande Luna my boyfriend found the best cream-caramel in the city (local name rožata). Both meat and fish tasted so good, that I could finish very big dishes with a lot of pleasure. The wine card is large and everybody can find something up to his/her taste. I really enjoyed a lot the cheese plate and desserts. It must be mentioned, that in this restaurant there is not only ice cream served as a dessert, as in many other restaurants, but also sorbet, pancakes and different kinds of cakes. Next time when I am in Hvar, I will definitely visit this place again. Thank you so much for the nice service!

When in Croatia you have to try the octopus under the bell or as we call it Peka. You also have to order a day early (just call or drop by) and that means it will be fresh, it will be prepared just for you, and the price here is great. At about £20 per person (including house vine that is really great) you really can’t get a better deal in Hvar. Two people can barely manage to eat all of it and it one of the best tasting things in the world. Great service as well. Enjoy

great food, indented restaurant in the center of Hvar, beautiful upper hall or terrace with open roof, very pleasant place in the old fashioned way, good servis! 😊
